This Disgaea D2 art book was included in as part of the Disgaea D2 First Release Limited Edition box set in Japan.

The hardcover book contains 48 full-colour pages of various artworks used for the Disgaea D2 game, including:-
- Illustration Gallery (12 pages)
- Character Introduction (12 pages)
- Original Unit Introduction (6 pages)
- Image Board, Background Illustration, Opening Animation Storyboard, Introduction Lyrics (16 pages)

Illustration Gallery contains large, mostly full-page images which were used either in-game or to promote the game.

Character Introduction contains large full-length images of the main characters in the games, along with concept sketches, and various facial expressions used by the character in the game. It also includes some basic info on each character, such as age, height, and weight.

Original Unit Introduction includes pictures and info on all the humanoid classes in the game.

The final section includes background images used in the game. There's also storyboard images used for the game's opening animation, along with character sketches which were also used for the animation. There are also three pages of lyrics for songs that were used throughout the game.
