This cap was first released in Japan at Comiket 79, which was held in Tokya from the 29th - 31st December, 2010. It was then made available on the Japan Nippon Ichi online store beginning in January 2011.

The cap was also released in the USA, with it first appearing for sale at the NIS America booth at Anime Expo 2011, which was held in Los Angeles, California between 1st - 4th July. After the expo, the caps were then made available on the NISA online store as of 16th July, 2011.

This newsie cap is a replica of the cap worn by Fuka in Disgaea 4.
