This Disgaea D2 clear file was available from selected game retailers in Japan as a pre-order bonus for the Disgaea D2 game.

Nippon Ichi Software held a display contest for Japanese game stores, which ran from the 31st January - 1st April 2013. Stores that signed up to take part in the contest had to put up their own Disgaea D2 store displays somewhere in their store, using standees, posters and any other promotional material they might've had to promote the Disgaea D2 game before its release on the PS3. 93 stores signed up to take part in the contest, and each store that signed up was sent these clear files to give out to anyone who pre-ordered the Disgaea D2 game from their store.

Of course, there were also prizes given out to the stores with the best displays. They were:-
1st prize - 32" BRAVIA LCD TV
2nd prize - Laharl digital photo frame
3rd prize - Etna digital photo frame
4th prize - Flonne digital photo frame
5th prize - Sicily digital photo frame
6th prize - Disgaea 10th Anniversary digital photo frame
