This is a re-release of the 'small' sized Goomba plush, which was originally released in December 2009 as part of the 'Super Mario Plushes vol.1' set, released in Japan by San-ei. This plush is still designed and manufactured by San-ei, but it has been imported and distributed for sale outside of Japan by Goldie Marketing.

This plush's tag varies from that of the original Japanese plush, in that this plush's tag is red with a picture of Mario on it. The original Japanese plush's tag was plain white with 'Super Mario Plush' written on it.
