This set of 4 Smash Bros. Melee were originally available during a Smash Bros. Melee rally promotion through JR West (West Japan Railway). The pins were only available during certain days from the 29th December 2001 to the 20th January 2002, and each pin could only be obtained from one, or a few select stations. This meant that anyone who wanted the full set had to travel to four different stations to collect them all.

The pins are made of metal with the images printed onto the metal.
