This 3-disc set contains orchestral arrangements of tunes from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The soundtrack contains 51 tracks (17 tracks per disc), which have been arranged by ZREO, the same people behind the The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary concerts and the Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses concerts.

The CD set was originally made available for pre-order on 1st November, 2012 through the Twilight Symphony website. Originally, only 1,000 copies were available, with 500 of those copies being set aside for the project's Kickstarter and ChipIn backers. The remaining 500 available copies sold out within 14 hours, so a second run of pre-orders began on the 3rd of November due to the popular demand. This time, a further 1,500 copies were made available, with it also being announced that there will be no possibility of another re-release after those 1,500 had sold out, since the team wanted the physical copies to remain as a 'special collector's item'. Therefore, the physical copies of Twilight Symphony are limited to 2,500 worldwide.

All physical copies of Twilight Symphony were mailed out to customers between January - February 2013. Digital copies of the arrangements are still yet to be released.
